MALAYSIA: Procter & Gamble Chemicals, Cincinnati, OH, announced start-up of the new glycerin refinery at its Malaysian joint venture with Felda Palm Industries Sdn. Bhd, called FPG Oleochemicals Sdn. Bhd. The new unit, which opened in November, will produce 35,000 tons a year of USP/EP glycerin at FPG’s site at Kuantan in the state of Pahang, Malaysia. FPG produces methyl esters, fatty alcohols and now glycerin. More info: www.pg.com....
